The Speech-Language Pathology Program, and the Office of Continuing Education, at Molloy College is pleased to present the program, "Oral Motor Intervention: Feeding and Beyond". The program will be presented by Leslie Faye Davis, MS CCC/SLP, NDT Instructor (Emeritus) and Dr. Cindy G. Arroyo D.A. CCC-SLP, the director of the Augmentative and Alternative Communication Lab in the Hy Weinberg Center at Adelphi University.
This full-day program will focus on treatment principles and strategies used in the evaluation and treatment of oral-motor and feeding problems. Emphasis will be on problem-solving and determining functional goals for developmentally disabled children. Video case studies will be used to illustrate intervention strategies and intervention techniques.
The program is offered for .6 American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) CEUs. (Intermediate level; Professional Area). A certificate of completion will be issued at the conclusion of the program.
The program will take place in the Hays Theater in the Wilbur Arts Center on the Rockville Centre campus, 1000 Hempstead Avenue, Rockville Centre, New York 11571. The cost is $100 to the general public if you register by 9/13/12, $125 if you register between 9/14-10/4 and $135 at the door. Molloy Alumni will receive a 10% discount. Molloy student tuition is $10 (must register by 9/27). Non-Molloy student's tuition (provide copy of student ID) is $50 (must register by 9/27). The program is free to Molloy faculty and staff, but you must register by 9/27.
