DASA Workshop: NYS Dignity for All Students

New York State's Dignity for All Students Act (DASA) seeks to provide the State's public elementary and secondary school students with a safe and supportive environment free from discrimination, intimidation, taunting, harassment, and bullying on school property, a school bus and/or at a school function. Effective December 31, 2013, all applicants for Certification are required to complete six clock hours of coursework or training in this area. Molloy College is an approved provider of this coursework.

Anyone applying for certification on or after December 31, 2013 will be required to have completed the coursework/training. Students with a graduation date after December 31, 2013 will be expected to have completed the coursework/training within the program and the recommendation submitted in TEACH will validate the completion of this training. The first workshop will be held on Saturday, August 24 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Additional workshops will be scheduled this fall in the evening on on Saturdays. The fall schedule should be available in early September
